The Great Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show is called off for 2025
The Great Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show will not be running in September this year – despite last year’s show seeing a near tripling in attendance.
Organisers HERCMA say the decision not to run the show, which was due to be open to the public from 12 to 14 September, has been taken “in response to the economic environment in the UK as well as the particular financial challenges currently being faced by manufacturers within the leisure sector”.
Individual HERCMA members will be running events at their own facilities from 9 to 11 September instead, although some of these may only be open to the trade. Details will follow later.
Last year’s Great Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show, held at the Great Yorkshire Showground, attracted 22,400 public visitors – up from 8,300 in 2023. It featured new public launches from some of the leading makes of motorhomes, including Swift and Bailey, with models on display including our pick for the best 4 berth motorhome at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2025, the Swift Voyager 510.
A HERCMA spokesperson said the decision did not necessarily mean the end of the show, which evolved out of the old Lawns show held in the grounds of Hull University.
“Things will improve in the industry and hopefully the future will be rosier,” she said.
