But it’s not always easy to work out which are best buys, and which are best left on the digital shelf. Fear not: this Prime Day I’m here to help you find some of the hottest deals on Amazon – here are the products that I’m seriously tempted to buy with my own cash…

Jackery Explorer 100 Plus was £139.99 now £89

Portable power banks are super handy for motorhomers planning to go off-grid, and this is one of the neatest I’ve seen – best of all, it’s a great price this Prime Day, too. The 100W Jackery Explorer is small enough to hold in your hand, yet offers two USB-C and one USB-A ports for charging up to three devices at once. It’s made by US company Jackery, and I have one of their larger power packs – if that’s anything to go by, this one will be a cracker.

Froli Levelling Ramp was £17.99 now £15.19

A good set of levelling ramps is essential, but some of them can be seriously expensive. Not so these ramps from Froli, which are on offer at a great price on Prime Day. The manufacturer states that they can carry up to 2000kg per unit, and offer a maximum height of 80mm. At a length of 450mm they should be easy enough to drive onto, and the black plastic looks sturdy. I reckon they’d make an excellent, good value addition to every motorhome.

Folding step/stool was £9.99 now £7.99

I’ve got one of these in my kitchen at home, and I’m now considering another to take away on tour. This folding step which I found on offer on Prime Day is a great price, and superbly practical: it folds away neatly to store in your motorhome’s lockers, ready and waiting for when you need to reach something high-up. The in-built carry handle makes transportation easy, while the step has a high maximum weight load of 150kg. The non-slip surface is a useful addition, too.

Luxja Travel Laundry Bags was £15.99 now £12.79

If you’re on a longer tour, you’ll likely want to use the on-site laundry facilities while you’re away. That’s why I think this laundry bag is so handy. Two hooks at the top allow you to fix it to the inside of your washroom or wardrobe door; when you’re ready to hit the laundry, simply take it down and carry it via the adjustable straps. There’s a useful zip at the bottom to allow you to access your washing quickly, too. It’s clever stuff.

Whale Flotilla 4 Pack Microfibre Towels was £24.99 now £21.05

I love microfibre towels – they’re brilliant for motorhoming, because they take up much less space in your ’van than regular towels. What’s more, they dry much quicker than a cotton version, meaning they’ll be ready for you to use again each morning.

This four-pack of towels really caught my eye – they’re brightly coloured, so you can work out whose is whose, and at just over a fiver each, they seem good value, too. Other, more muted colours are available if you’d prefer.

BESTEK 300W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter was £61.99 now £33.99

Inverters can be pricey, so this low-cost option caught my eye among the Prime Day deals out there. It only offers 300W, and some reviewers say it’s a little noisy in operation, but it’s ideal if you’re off-grid and want to charge (say) your laptop or power another low-wattage device. Its compact, red-aluminium shell looks smart and sturdy, and the unit can be powered via the attached 12V plug, or via crocodile clips directly to your vehicle’s battery.

ELEZAY Hanging Packing Cubes was £27.99 now £21.83

I love a clever gadget, and this set of hanging packing cubes is definitely one. The idea behind it is simple: just pack your clothes into it (it should swallow a lot), before hanging it up in your motorhome’s wardrobe. When you get back home, unhook it and you’ve an easy way to transport all your clothes into the house. The front cover will keep your clothes clean, and you can zip the bottom section closed if you don’t need every compartment.
