There’s not long left to buy one of these portable power stations at these unmissable Prime Day prices

If you’ve been hearing a lot about portable power stations recently and have been considering buying one, you’ve probably been holding off the Prime Day sale to come around, thinking there would be some great bargains to be had – and you’d be right! I’ve taken a look around and been impressed by some of the excellent savings to be had.

The right power station can make a real difference to your touring experience, giving you the ability to charge and power devices with the appropriate wattage. To help you find the ones for you, I’m sharing my top picks in the Prime Day sale, with savings of up to 44% to be had.

Jackery Explorer 300 Plus was £319, now £223.30

Weight: 3.75kg
Capacity: 288Wh

The Jackery Explorer 300 Plus is a highly useful option to consider. With an output of 300W, it has a capacity of 288Wh and, usefully, is incredibly portable, coming in at only 3.75kg. A sturdy handle will make it easy to transport around too. It has a good selection of ports – one AC socket, two USB-C ports, one USB-A port and one car port – and thanks to its LiFePO4 battery, should offer some good longevity. It’s currently available with a huge 30% saving, bringing it down to £223.30.

Anker 521 was £189 now £149

Weight: 3.7kg
Capacity: 256Wh

Another lightweight option at 3.7kg, this Anker is available with an excellent 21% saving over Prime Day, bringing it down to only £149. It offers a different selection of ports to the Explorer 300 Plus, having two USB-A ports, one AC port, one USB-C port and one car outlet, as well as a capacity of 256Wh. Its useful display will make it easy to keep an eye on the battery health when you’re using it.

EcoFlow River 2 Max was £449 now £269

Weight: 6kg
Capacity: 512Wh

Enjoy a huge 40% saving on this EcoFlow portable power station over Prime. Currently reduced to only £269 (yes, a £180 saving!), the 6kg gadget has a great range of ports, with a USB-C socket, three USB-A sockets, two AC sockets, one DC socket and one DC5521. With a capacity of 512Wh, it’s able to run nine suitable appliances at the same time, and the battery is fast to top up too – it can go from 0% to a full charge in an hour, while the LFP battery should last for more than 3000 charges.

Jackery Explorer 1000 Pro was £1,099, now £619

Weight: 11.5kg
Capacity: 1002Wh

This powerful power station is available with a 44% saving over Prime Day. Its useful display helps you keep on top of the battery health, while it can charge up to seven devices simultaneously with a capacity of 1002Wh. It’s also impressively quick to charge, thanks to an AC input of up to 800W, which should see the battery topped up within 1.8 hours. Ports include two AC outputs, two USB-A outputs, two USB-C outputs, a car port, an AC input and a DC input, giving plenty of versatility, while the handle should make the 11.5kg weight easier to manoeuvre around. It’s a good backup to have around the home as well, with Jackery saying that it can go into standby for over 365 days from a 100% capacity charge.

Bluetti EB3A was £269 now £199

Weight: 4.6kg
Capacity: 268wh

A perennial favourite of ours, this Bluetti is a useful portable power station, coming with a good selection of ports, thanks to a 12V socket, two 12V DCs, two USB-As, a USB-C and a 240V AC/600W port, as well as a DC input and AC input port. There’s even a 15W wireless charging pad, ideal for phone charging. Coming with a 600W AC pure sine wave inverter and 268Wh capacity, deputy editor Paul Critcher found it provided good performance and – importantly – ease of use when he tested it. The display makes it easy to see the rate at which your gadget is charging at too. For those who want to keep lower-powered objects topped up, this is a great option to consider.
