Garmin is a well-known and respected name in the leisure vehicle sat nav world and the Garmin Camper range has long impressed us, making it onto our shortlist for the best motorhome gadget at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2025.
Practical Motorhome’s editor Sarah recently tested the larger version of the 795, the Garmin Camper 1095 and found it an impressive gadget. The 795 offers the same features as its larger counterpart, just on a smaller screen, making it ideal for those who have a smaller ‘van – and who love a bargain.
The 795 has a 7” screen and allows you to input your motorhome’s dimensions to give you custom routing, displaying information on its clear screen. It also has a range of tour-enhancing features, from its preloaded Michelin Green guide to suggested road trips. Another addition we love is its BirdsEye Satellite Imagery, which allows you to plan out your arrival at your chosen campsite by seeing aerial imagery.
There’s also the option of downloading the Garmin Drive app, which lets you enjoy hands-free calling and get text notifications on your sat nav.
