Italian brand Mobilvetta has become the latest manufacturer to launch a compact low-profile range with the Kea Kompact – and it’s currently on display at the Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC this week.

Based on a Fiat Ducato with a 140bhp engine and eight-speed automatic transmission as standard, the four-berth is 6.39m long but only 2.15m wide. It has an MTPLM of 3500kg, so anyone can drive it, saving you from wondering “what driving licence do I need to drive the motorhome?”.

Cruise control comes as standard on this low-profile motorhome, as does a touchscreen DAB radio with Apple Carplay/Android Auto, sat nav and an integrated rear view camera.

Inside, you will find daringly mostly white upholstery in a parallel settee lounge with an electronically raised telescopic pedestal table and a drop-down bed.

The rear washroom comes with a separate shower cubicle and a large rear cupboard complete with a hanging rail and plenty of drawers, and you also get access to the garage, which has a 300kg payload (see: motorhome weights for more on what this means).

You get Truma Combi 6 diesel heating, while the kitchen includes a two-burner hob, a 150-litre compressor fridge, a combined oven and grill and a number of innovative mini-shelves and storage compartments.

The new vehicle is currently on sale for £79,995 from Marquis Leisure.

Another brand joining Mobilvetta in launching 2026 season ‘vans at the NEC Show is Swift, which has launched its Trekker coachbuilt range. The motorhomes come with the rugged exterior seen on the campervan range of the same name, with three models on the stand.
