I’m the editor of Practical Motorhome – here’s what I’m tempted by on Amazon Prime Day
Amazon Prime Day is brilliant for motorhome owners – there’s a whole host of bargain bits of kit to tempt you to part with your cash, and it’s easy to become overwhelmed by everything on offer. I’ve been editor of Practical Motorhome for seven years now, and I’ve toured thousands of miles across Europe – so to help you find the cream of the Amazon Prime Day crop, here I’ve picked out some of the best motorhome deals that I’ve found, and that I’m tempted to extract my credit card for…

My top Prime Day picks for motorhome owners are:

Echo Auto (2nd generation) £59.99 now £24.99
This has been on my wishlist for a while, and the Amazon Prime Day price drop of a whopping 50% means it’s very likely to see the inside of my shopping basket. It allows you to connect to the Alexa app on your phone via your motorhome’s Bluetooth system and stream playlists via Amazon Music, Apple Music and Spotify; you can also use the voice control to make calls, text, and listen to podcasts.
Connect it to your home device and you can turn lights on and off, control the heating and more. It even plays Audible (which you can currently get a free three-month trial for if you’re a Prime member too).
It includes Echo Auto (2nd generation) with attached microphone and speaker modules, cable wrap, adhesive car mount, spare adhesive, cleaning pad, 3.5 mm auxiliary cable and fast car charger.

Weber Go-Anywhere Barbeque Grill – £103.14 now £83.33
A good barbecue on a sunny summer’s evening is one of the many joys of motorhoming, and this neat unit from the experts at Weber comes in at a decent 19% price drop on Amazon Prime Day.
The product, which features in our best motorhome barbecue guide, is fuelled by charcoal and folds down compactly when you’ve finished cooking – it should be compact enough to store in a motorhome locker or garage. There’s even a handle to help you transport it, too.

Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 1000 – £1049 now £629.40
Actually, I already have one of these Jackery Portable Power Stations, so I won’t be taking advantage of the fantastic 40%-off Amazon Prime Day deal – but this is a really good price, and I’m a big fan of Jackery products. This smart power station weighs in at a hefty 10kg, but it’s packed with features including numerous output sockets – it’s ideal for charging your gadgets when you’re on tour.
If you’re in the market for a power pack like this, take a look at my round-up of the Amazon Prime Day portable power station deals.
Weight: 9.99kg
Capacity: 1002Wh
Outputs: 2 x 230V sockets; 2 x USB-C sockets; 1 x USB-A sockets; 1 x quick-charge 3.0 port; 1 x DC 12V socket

Danish Endurance Microfibre Travel & Sports Towel – £19.95 now £16.95
No matter what size motorhome or campervan you have, you’ll still need to keep your packing to a minimum – and a great way to do so is to use foldable microfibre towels.
These Danish Endurance towels caught my eye as a great Prime Day deal: they’re good value and a decent size. Best of all, they fold down into a small pack for easy storage and they’ll dry very quickly, too – so no need to have damp towels hanging around in your washroom for days at a time.

Aigostar 2-Slice Toaster – £25.99 now £21.99
I love toast when I’m away in the motorhome, but using the gas grill doesn’t always work as successfully as I’d like (and activates the smoke alarm on far too many occasions). So I’m very tempted by a low-wattage toaster, and this one from Aigostar looks like a good deal, with 15% off for members on Prime Day.
It has a number of handy functions, too, including defrost, reheat and more. There’s also a removable crumb tray at the bottom to help you clean up afterwards.
Weight: 1.23kg
Power: 750W

AA Euro Travel Kit – £31.44 now £25.14
It’s easy to lose track of everything you need to take with you in the motorhome when you tour across the Continent, so a handy bag like this one is a great buy. It includes a high-vis vest, a warning triangle, a UK sticker, headlamp beam converters, a first aid kit, spare bulbs, a map of Kent and the M20, and a copy of the AA’s European Driver’s Handbook.
Everything comes neatly stowed in a zipped bag for easy transportation.
Camping Road Trips UK: 30 Adventures with your Campervan, Motorhome or Tent £15.99 now £13.59
I’ve had the privilege of knowing motorhome expert and writer Caroline Mills for many years, so I was delighted to see that a copy of her latest book is available on a Prime Day deal. Camping Road Trips UK features 30 brilliant adventures that you can enjoy, at a variety of lengths (from 20 to 500 miles), taking in some of the UK’s most beautiful areas.
Best of all, Caroline has tried out all the routes in her motorhome already, so you can rest assured you won’t encounter any inaccessible areas.
