Aura only debuted at the February NEC Show, but has returned with its new Aura 4 campervan.

A van converter that debuted at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show in February is already back at the Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC this week with its own stand and a new rising roof campervan to show off.

Aura is the brainchild of Mike Lake, formerly UK sales manager for Knaus and Weinsberg. Its new model, the Aura 4, runs either on a Ford Transit Custom, like the model on display (costing £67,994), or, for £4000 more, on a VW T7, both of which are among the best vans for converting to a camper.

Available in metallic blue, it comes with an automatic gearbox as standard and four travel seats. The side kitchen includes a two-burner hob inline with a stainless steel sink, and you get a 35-litre fresh water tank. The roof rises at the front.

Other models on display on the campervan converter‘s stand include the Aura 6 EL, a rear lounge two-berth based on the 5.99m-long Fiat Ducato with the 140bhp engine and an automatic gearbox.

The rear lounge converts into a transverse bed, but the side washroom still manages to include a separate shower cubicle. The model starts at £78,777. All Aura models come with a choice of three different furniture finishes and three upholstery colours.

Other new campervans to be debuting at the NEC this week include the Pilote V630S, an innovative ‘van which could suit the needs of families, couples and solo campervanners thanks to its modular bunk bed system. Also on show is the Panama P10E, a ULEZ-compliant plug-in hybrid campervan.
