New owner for Yorkshire Caravans & Motorhomes following 100 years of family ownership
A local entrepreneur has purchased Yorkshire Caravans & Motorhomes, with the 34-acre dealership in Bawtry generating annual revenues of over £50 million.
A motorhome dealership, which had been family-owned for 100 years, has been bought by a local entrepreneur.
Yorkshire Caravans & Motorhomes Ltd stocks a range of new and used ‘vans, including campervans from the Ace 1200 and the Bailey Endurance and Endeavour line-ups.
That’s not all, with Ace coachbuilts, leisure vehicles from Erwin Hymer brands Elddis, Buccaneer and Xplore, and motorhomes from the Bailey Adamo and Autograph ranges stocked, including the Adamo XL-T, which was a highly commended contender in our best motorhome for full-time living category at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2026.
Now generating annual revenues of over £50 million, the 34-acre dealership in Bawtry was established in 1926 and has now passed on to local entrepreneur Jason Cooper, who has been involved in the business over the past year.
Ownership of Yorkshire Caravans & Motorhomes will now pass to Jason Cooper, but it had been led by Jonathan Goulden since 2009, the third-generation owner of the dealership up until the sale, with his tenure marking an expansion into the motorhome sector, investment in facilities and customer experience, and a strengthening of partnerships with key manufacturers.
Jonathan Goulden said: “It’s been an incredible journey for our family. I’m proud of what we’ve built and the team behind it. After 100 years, this felt like the right moment to pass the business on. I’m confident Jason and his team will take it forward with energy and ambition.”
Jason Cooper said: “This is a business with strong foundations, a great team and a loyal customer base. Jonathan and his team have built something exceptional.”
“Our focus now is to build on that success, improve performance across the business and continue delivering a best-in-class customer experience. There is significant opportunity ahead, and we intend to realise it.”
The dealership also provides a range of motorhome upgrades for ‘van owners who are after accessories and gadgets to take on tour with them.
