It’s not every day you step into a motorhome and find yourself checking you haven’t stepped into a caravan without realising, yet one of the new additions to the Bailey Autograph range, the 79-4F, managed it.

The motorhome, which is on display at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show this week, is part of a range which only returned to the Bailey line-up for the 2026 season, having previously been rested for two years. However, it has been a successful return for Autograph, as seen by the 81-5 taking the title of best rear lounge motorhome at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2026.

The latest addition, the 79-4F, impressed us with the spaciousness it provides inside, with Practical Motorhome’s editor, Sarah, remarking, “this motorhome has the incredibly spacious feel of a touring caravan”.

The Peugeot Boxer-based motorhome comes on an Al-Ko AMC chassis and features an L-shaped front lounge with twin-travel seats, which can be turned into a double bed. The other two berths come in the form of a large single-level French bed, measuring 1.32m x 1.91m, and with underbed storage, which can be accessed externally

Then, at the rear of the motorhome, an end washroom can be found, which features a separate shower cubicle with an Ecocamel shower head and twin drainage points.

Joining it in debuting at the NEC this week is the 79-4XT, which could be a contender for fans of the best motorhomes with fixed single beds.

Like the 79-4f, it comes with an end washroom, an L-shaped frount lounge, and a central kitchen, but this time, it comes with a nearside single bed measuring 2.02m x 0.79m and an offside single measuring 1.92m x 0.79m. Like the 79-4F, another double can be made up in the front lounge, too.

Both models are 7.95m-long and come with a 200W Truma solar panel, twin underfloor 95Ah leisure batteries, a SONOS portable speaker, a wireless charging pad, and a large rear garage.

Prices for both models start from an OTR price of £92,749, with the C1 licence required to drive both, due to an MTPLM of 4500kg. However, this means you get a hefty payload, with the 79-4F providing 1068.5kg and the 79-4XT providing 1021kg.
