The Rapido V62 has debuted at the Motorhome and Caravan Show, a deceptively luxurious campervan which, when it was previously on display at Düsseldorf’s Caravan Salon in August, was labelled “one of the top vans at the show” by our Reviews editor Peter Baber.

What makes it so unusual is that it’s a campervan which, if you only saw the interior, could leave you thinking you’re in a low-profile. This could potentially give you the best of both worlds if you’re stuck between a campervan or motorhome. This is because it comes with a large rear French bed, a corner washroom which is a decent size, and just in front of this, a large mirrored double wardrobe.

That’s not all, with a front dinette which includes a large side seat, and an L-shaped kitchen. Other features include a TRUMA Combi 4 heating system, two 92Ah AGM leisure batteries, and an electric entry step.

In the washroom, a shower tray with a shower curtain, a wash basin, and a towel rail are among the features that can be found. The kitchen also includes a two-hob stainless steel stove, a stainless steel sink, and a 146-litre compressor fridge/freezer.

The Fiat Ducato-based campervan has a length of 6.36m and a width of 2.05m, which should ensure parking is relatively straightforward. It has a payload of 480kg.

Other campervans making their debut at the NEC this week include the rugged Bailey Endurance E65, which is unusual for the RoofTent that can come as an optional extra.
