Treverven touring park is situated 2.4 miles South from St Buryan, Penzance Cornwall. This was to be our next camp site for the night.
About the Site
The site is a grassed based touring park suitable for motorhomes, caravans and tents. The site is situated 250 feet above the sea, in West Cornwall (apparently in the same area as the BBC Poldark series was filmed). The park is rated as AA 3 star and is an ACSI and Caravan and Camping Club listed site.
We arrived without booking (as we always do). The owners were really friendly and welcoming who chatted with us before we headed to our pitch and even recommended the evening coastal walk.
The pitches were grass and a good size with plenty of space between the motorhomes. Each pitch had access to water and electric hook up There were also wooden table and benches stacked nearby so we were able to take one to sit between the two motorhomes. The pitch was fairly level and even provided a view over the ocean in the distance.
The toilet and showering facilities are good and in addition there is a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble-dryer and coin-operated iron.
A large deep freezer is located in a separate room together with an electric kettle and toaster which is a useful facility for those who may be camping in tents.
There is a play area for the children, with swings, slide and large football posts and nets that prevent the ball from going amiss.
The owner suggested trying an evening coastal walk that started just past the farm house. So after our evening meal that’s exactly what we did.
The reception also doubles as a small shop offering the basic essentials.
A chemical disposal point was available and there’s a drive over point for motorhomes to empty grey waste.
The cost for the pitch, electric hook up and fresh water on the pitch was £13.50 which was excellent value for money.
Motorhome Monkey thoughts
This site provides excellent value for money. The staff were helpful and friendly. The toilet facilities were good. I would return here again if I was in the area.
