These are the six portable power stations in the Amazon spring sale that we’d recommend looking at

If you’ve been looking at buying a portable power station, the Amazon spring sale could be a great time to act…

Portable power stations are becoming an increasingly popular touring gadget, acting as valuable extra sources of power when you’re pitched up. The good news, if you’ve been thinking of buying one, is that there are some excellent discounts to be had on them in the Amazon spring sale.

Having the best portable power station can elevate any touring experience, allowing you to power and charge devices with an appropriate wattage.

Here, we’re sharing our favourite options we’ve spotted in the Amazon Spring Deal Days event (10th-16th March), including portable power stations from brands such as Jackery, Bluetti and Anker. We’ve also used price tracking tool Keepa to make sure the offers are actually good discounts worth knowing about.

The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is among our picks for the best portable power station for a campervan. Providing an output of 1500W, a surge peak of 3000W, and a capacity of 1070Wh, it is an updated version of a model we previously tested (see our review of the original Explorer 1000). We like how it has a good range of ports, including two USB-C ports (one of which has 100W PD Fast charging), two Pure Sine Wave AC ports, a USB-A port, and a DC Car Port. It’s also CE-certified. In the sale, it’s currently reduced to £379, which matches the cheapest price it’s retailed on Amazon for.

EcoFlow Delta 2 was £549 now £399 (save 27%)

Coming with a 1kWh capacity and offering access to 12 ports, this EcoFlow is well worth a look if you want to be able to power a number of gadgets on tour. Should you so desire, there’s even the option of buying extra batteries to provide up to 3kWh, which would give families plenty of scope for keeping charged up. Such a powerful gadget is unsurprisingly able to charge a laptop up to 16 times, according to EcoFlow, so you could work from your ‘van, for instance, or charge a phone 89 times. It also charges up quickly, going from 0% to 80% via an AC outlet in only 50 minutes. At only £399, it’s reduced to its joint lowest price it’s been on Amazon too.

  • Weight: 12kg

Bluetti AC180
Image: Amazon

Bluetti AC180 was £599 now £399 (save 33%)

Currently the cheapest it has ever been on Amazon, the AC180 comes with a hefty 1152Wh capacity and an output of 1800W. It has a good selection of outputs, with nine in total, including a wireless charging pad and two AC outlets, while we like how it can be topped up quickly too, taking only an hour to reach a full charge on a 1440W AC input. The manufacturer advises it could run a 500W hair dryer for two hours, or a mini fridge for over 16 hours. It’s heavy, with a weight of 16kg, but has the power credentials to back it up.

  • Battery capacity: 1152Wh
  • Weight: 16kg
  • Dimensions: 34 x 24.7 x 31.7cm
  • Outputs: 2 x AC outlets, 1 x Car outlet, 1 x Wireless Charging Pad, 1 x USB-C, 4 x USB-A

The Jackery Explorer 500
Image: Amazon

Jackery Explorer 500 was £324 now £216 (save 33%)

While not a second-generation like the Explorer 1000 V2 we’ve also picked out, the Jackery Explorer 500 offers a 518Wh capacity and comes with a sturdy handle for easy transportation of its 6kg weight. Ports include a 500W Pure Sine Wave AC Outlet, three USB-A ports, two DC ports and a car outlet. The one downside is it doesn’t have any USB-C ports, but if you are looking for a power station to operate the likes of a laptop or a mini-fridge, this could fit the bill, with Jackery advising it can power the former for up to 30 hours and the latter for up to nine hours. If having USB-C charging is important to you but you want this capacity, you could always consider the Jackery Explorer 500 v2 model, but it’s not in the Amazon spring sale.

  • Capacity: 518Wh
  • Weight: 6kg
  • Outputs: 3 x USB-A, 1 x AC, 2 x DC, 1 X car outlet

Anker 521
Image: Amazon

Anker 521 was £189 now £149 (save 21%)

This entry-level power station provides a 256Wh capacity, and could be a good choice if you want a lightweight and payload-friendly option, thanks to a weight of 3.7kg. Anker advises it could charge a phone up to 16 times, while a laptop could be charged up to 3.5 times, so if you’re after a more basic and budget-friendly option, this could be worth a look. It still comes with a good selection of ports, including two USB-A ports, an AC Port, a USB-C port and a car outlet. We like how it has a 10-year lifespan and is also fairly compact, compared to the larger (but also more powerful) options we’ve picked out here. It has retailed for £141.55 in the past, but we still think £149 is a good price for it.

  • Capacity: 256Wh
  • Dimensions: 21.59 x 14.4 x 21.16 cm
  • Weight: 3.7 kg
  • Outputs: 2 x USB-A ports, 1 x AC port, 1 x USB-C port, 1 x car outlet

Image: Amazon

Anker SOLIX C200 was £299.99 now £149.99 (save 50%)

This compact portable power station has caught the eye of Practical Motorhome’s editor, Sarah, in previous Amazon sales. What we like it how is comes with a practical charging solution in the form of the fold-out solar panel unit that comes with it, which will keep the C200 topped up. It’s capable of delivering up to 200W of power, and if you’re looking for an effective way of charging smaller gadgets like a phone when you’re off-grid, this could be ideal. In fact, according to Anker, it could charge a phone up to 13 times. The C200 itself should, according to Anker’s website, only weigh 1.9kg, making it nicely lightweight. It has been reduced to £149.99 since early March, and the discount has continued into the spring sale too.

  • Capacity: 192Wh
  • Dimensions: 10 x 11 x 18.5cm
