The new Endurance E65 comes with features that will appeal to fans of winter touring and off-gridding, and is set to be on display at the NEC Show next month.

Bailey has announced the launch of its new Endurance campervan, which unusually comes with the optional extra of a TentBox roof tent.

Coming on the Ford Transit “Grey Matter” base vehicle, the Endurance E65 includes a “Trail grill”, bumpers and a skid plate. Cab features include a 12″ infotainment system and a rear-view reversing camera in a ‘van which is set to be on display at the Motorhome and Caravan Show next month (14th-19th October).

The Endurance could be a contender for those on the hunt for the best campervan for touring during the winter months, as it comes with Truma Combi D4E heating and includes all-weather tyres, with Swamper 16-inch alloy wheels available as an optional extra.

Features include a front dinette and a kitchen with a 90-litre Thetford compressor fridge, a two-ring gas hob, and a sink with a fold-down tap. The central washroom also includes both a shower and a Thetford toilet. At the rear of the campervan, a raised transverse fold-away double bed can be found, which also provides under-bed storage.

It has four travel seats and two berths as standard, as well as a 2.0 litre 165bhp engine and a six-speed manual gearbox, with an automatic gearbox optional.

Those who love off-grid campervanning will also find the Endurance up to the challenge, as it comes with a 130-watt Truma solar panel and two 80 Ah AGM leisure batteries as standard. An optional extra is the Adventure Pack (£1,250), which adds two 100W Truma solar panels, roof-mounted off-road lighting, and a Rhino roof rack and ladder.

As standard, the Endurance has an OTR price of £69,999, a length of 5.98m, a width of 2.49m, and a height of 2.80m. However, opting for the Adventure Pack increases this to a length of 6m and a height of 2.94m.

Whether you opt for the Adventure Pack will also impact the payload – as standard, you get 687kg, but this drops to 647kg with the optional Pack.

Getting the Adventure P”ack also opens up the £2,790 optional Sunset Orange TentBox Cargo 2.0 rooftop tent, complete with a high-level bed and built-in mattress.

Taking only 30 seconds to set up, it features anti-bug mesh and includes roof pockets, an integrated LED light bar, and vents. Opting for the roof bed allows the Endurance to sleep four, but increases the ‘van’s height to 3.08m, but payload will dip to 567kg.

Whether you opt for it with or without the Adventure Pack and TentBox, the MTPLM will stay the same 3500kg, so it can be driven on a standard driving licence.
