Carado brings out an off-road VW Crafter-based campervan for 2027 as it celebrates 20 years

For 2027, Carado has also added a campervan with fixed single beds and a new low-profile motorhome, as well as updating two more motorhomes.

An off-road campervan based on a VW Crafter, a fixed single beds campervan with a swivel partition washroom, and one new and two revised low-profile motorhomes are the main offerings from Carado this season.

The German company, part of the Erwin Hymer Group, celebrates its 20th anniversary next year. To mark this, new designs have been introduced inside and out on all pro+ and Edition27 models.

The off-road ‘van, which could be a contender for those looking for the best VW campervan, is the 5.98m-long CV595 X-Edition, which is built on the Crafter’s 4×4 chassis and comes with automatic transmission and a 163hp engine as standard. Loder off-road campervan tyres are an optional extra. The four-berth with a transverse bed has 1.98m of interior headroom and a washroom with a folding door and a collapsible washbasin.

Meanwhile, the CV602pro+ features single beds at the back with another washroom with a swivelling partition, this time with its own window and a tambour door.

The new low-profile motorhome is the T335 Edition27, complete with a large rear washroom with its own wardrobe, and an extra long lounge with a drop-down bed above it.

The T457 Edition27 now features two single beds at the back, a central washroom with solid doors on either side, and parallel settees in the front lounge that turn into two travel seats, with the option of having a drop-down bed over this.

The T459 Edition27 has a similar layout up front with an island bed in the rear.

As part of the new anniversary design, all vehicles on a Ford chassis now come in Moondust Silver on the outside, and come with a Ford Trail grille. Models on a Stellantis base vchicle come in Artense Grey.

Inside, for all models, a new Forest Sand finish includes both fabric and genuine leather upholstery.

Other brands to be sharing new season news include Fleurette, with the brand’s 2027 releases including a new Mercedes-based range and two new A-classes. Joining them is Weinsberg, which, for 2027, has refreshed the interior of its Fiat-based CaraCompact special edition.
