Durham Caravans and Motorhomes takes on Auto-Sleepers

Durham Caravans and Motorhomes has become a dealer for Auto-Sleepers.

Anyone visiting the dealership should therefore soon be able to see vehicles, including the Burford Duo, which won the best motorhome for couples category at our most recent Practical Motorhome Awards.

The Newton Aycliffe company already has a franchise for Joa Camp, Pilote’s budget brand, and sees its inclusion in the Auto-Sleepers network as a new chapter in its history.

Founded only ten years ago, the company has already become an Approved Service Centre under the Approved Workshop Scheme (AWS) run by the NCC and the two caravan clubs.

It currently employs 10 members of staff, and has six fully equipped service bays within its modern workshop. For those who are thinking of buying a used motorhome, it also sells pre-owned ‘vans and caravans.

Durham’s inclusion brings the total number of Auto-Sleepers dealers in the UK to 21, including the 12 dealerships run by Marquis Leisure which, like Auto-Sleepers itself, is owned by Trigano.

Tony Swarbrick, Auto-Sleepers Business Development Manager, welcomed Durham into the fold.

In other recent news, a £10 overnight parking charge has been introduced at Port Solent. The popular spot has been used by ‘van owners who are catching an early morning ferry from Portsmouth to France or Spain.
